Consulting with seller prior to sale:
The client and CT Quick Auctions will determine sale price on items. Often clients and us will agree on and idea as to what amount to price items. We try to honor that request and ask you for a lower price from which we can negotiate. CT Quick Auctions will try and get best price, but we do need room to negotiate. In an estate sale we have prices on all the items. Since, our fee is based on the total sale; it is to our advantage to sell your items at the highest possible price.
When CTQuickAuctions is conducted to hold a Tag Sale with items such as furniture, china, antiques, books, pictures, collectibles, etc. We appraise at a fair market and value price of items to be sold. Each item is given a department or number that it is in and priced.
Sorting and Organizing Merchandise:
We will organize the sale so that related items are together in the same area. Items are merchandised in an effort to create sales and sales people can be stationed throughout for sales effort and for security.
Advertising the sale:
CT Quick Auctions will advertise the sale in one or two local newspapers, online and other locations. Notify by email, mail and telephone of scheduled estate sale. Provide and post signs.
Conducting the sale:
Sales are usually conducted Saturday & Sunday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
We will leave your property after the sale and all items are removed and the house is broom clean. Our service is often requested by real estate agents or clients because we prepare the house for sale. Agents also like estate sales because more people will see the house during the estate sale than any other time that the house is for sale. Often the house is sold during the estate sale. If an item does not sell we offer several options for your consideration. Estate Sale Service by Antiques & Collectibles can place remaining items on consignment at store location, some items maybe donated to agreed charity. We do very little without your knowledge and viewpoint.
Our fee is a percentage of the total sale 20% to 50% percent is our fee. It will depends on how much detail is required before the sale. Clean up of the house, yard maintenance; clean up after the sale, Quantiy and quality of items for sale. Please contact us for a presale consultation.
